The daily peaks and valleys continued on Wall Street, as better-than-expected news on the U.S. job front helped lift stock prices Thursday. The government says 395,000 people applied for unemployment benefits last week, a decline of 7,000 from the previous week. That's the first time jobless claims have dropped below 400,000 in four months. The welcome news helped pull European stocks from earlier losses. Mil Arcega has more. (read more)
